Settings
Settings holds everything about how the app itself runs and looks, on this PC. Settings that belong to one pack, such as its name, output folder or pre-build checks, are in Project settings instead.
Open Settings with the Settings button in the top bar, or press Ctrl+,. The command palette (Ctrl+K) can also jump straight to any page of it.

General
- Start with Windows: opens KOJA Cloth Tool when you sign in to Windows. There is no tray icon, so it opens the full window.
- Explorer context menu: adds Preview in KOJA to the right-click menu of
.yddand.ytdfiles, so you can look at a model without opening a project. On Windows 11 it is under Show more options. Nothing else about those file types changes. - Usage statistics: see the Usage statistics section below.
Appearance
Everything here applies the moment you click it, across the whole app, and is remembered.
- Appearance mode: 16 colour themes. Koja Dark (the default), Light, Steam, Discord, Nord, Dracula, One Dark, Tokyo Night, Gruvbox, Monokai, Catppuccin, Rosé Pine, Synthwave, Solarized Dark, Solarized Light and GitHub Light.
- Interface font: Geist (ships with the app), System UI, Segoe UI, Arial, Tahoma or Georgia. Each option is shown in its own face, with a preview line below. Counts and ids stay in Geist Mono whichever you pick.
- Interface scale: Compact, Default or Large. This scales the whole interface, not only the text.
- Motion: turn Interface animation off to have panels and menus appear at once.
Item list
- Layout: Compact, With previews or Grid. See Interface.
- Version history marks: shows or hides the added, changed and renamed marks on items and the "since the last saved version" line. Turn it off if you do not keep versions of your packs.
- File size: shows each item's model size at the end of its row.
Language
New in 2.0.8: the interface comes in 18 languages. Pick one and the whole app switches at once, with no restart. Each language is listed by its own name, with the English name beside it.
The languages are English, German, Polish, French, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Italian, Dutch, Czech, Romanian, Hungarian, Swedish, Turkish, Russian, Ukrainian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. The last 14 are machine-translated.
Keyboard Shortcuts
These are global shortcuts that work anywhere in the app, except while you are typing in a text field. To change one, click Change and press the new key combination; Esc cancels. Each shortcut can be restored on its own, or use Reset all to defaults.

| Save project | Ctrl+S |
| Build / package | Ctrl+B |

| Show or hide logs and problems | Ctrl+J |
| Show problems | Ctrl+Shift+M |

Discord
Rich Presence shows on your Discord profile what you are doing in the app. It shows the activity only, never the pack, the garment or a file path. Turn it off and nothing is sent to Discord at all.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Hide it while you are away | Takes the status down after a stretch with no keyboard or mouse input, and puts it back when you return. Count me away after sets how many minutes. |
| Status language | The language your status is written in. It can differ from the app's language, because your friends read it, not you. |
| What it says | Every line your profile can show, quoted from what the app actually sends. |
If nothing appears in Discord, check that Discord is running and that its Activity Privacy setting allows it.
Usage statistics
Under General, Send usage statistics tells KOJA that the app is running, so it can see how many people use it and which version they are on. It sends the app version, your Windows version and an identifier for this installation (the same one your licence uses). It never sends your files, projects or clothing packs, and your IP address is never stored. Switch Send usage statistics off to stop it.
Updates
Under About > Updates:
- Keep the app up to date automatically: on by default. The app checks at launch and installs a newer build before you start, restarting once. It never updates while you are working, and never installs an older version on its own.
- Channel: Stable (recommended, the build everyone else is on) or Canary (early test builds that may break). Canary still gets every stable release. Picking a channel checks it straight away.
- Check for updates asks again at any time. It is also in the menu under the KOJA logo.
When you switch from Canary back to Stable, the stable build is older than the one you are on, so it is offered with an Install button that names the version. The app closes and reopens on the new version, so save your work first.
Walkthroughs
Guided, spotlighted tours of the app. The Getting Started tour runs automatically the first time you open a project. Mark them all unplayed lets you see them again.
