# Default Images

By default, dialogs load item icons based on each `respname`. The system looks in the `build/images/` directory and tries to find a file named `<respname>.png`. For example, if you have:

```lua
respname = "weapon_pistol"
```

then the dialog UI will automatically use the image at:

```bash
build/images/weapon_pistol.png
```

If that file exists, it will be shown next to the item’s label in Shop, Market, or Crafting windows. If you need a custom icon, just place a PNG in `build/images` named exactly the same as your `respname`.
