# Start Here

Welcome! This section gets you from zero to a working clothing pack.

1. [**Installation**](/cloth-tool/start-here/installation) — download, install and point the tool at your GTA V copy.
2. [**First Project**](/cloth-tool/start-here/first-project) — import a garment, preview it and export a FiveM resource, start to finish.

You only need to do the setup once. After that, every new project is just: **New → Import → Preview → Build.**

## Before you begin

You'll want three things ready:

* **A Windows PC** (Windows 10 or 11, 64‑bit).
* **A copy of GTA V** installed (Steam, Epic or Rockstar). The tool reads the base freemode ped from your own game files — it never redistributes Rockstar assets.
* **Your clothing files** — the `.ydd` (model) and `.ytd` (texture) files you want to package.

Don't have clothing files yet? You can still open the tool, explore the sample project and get familiar with the interface first.
